The Midway celebrated its 20th anniversary in 2007. This Jamaica Plain bar and club offers live music, food and beverages. Save the stage for the gays. Queereoke is definitely an avenue for Thursday night aural debauchery. Although, the show doesn't usually get started until after 10pm, once it does... there's nothing that can stop it. Well, nothing except the ten to twenty minute hip hop breaks, which make for longer waits to sing, but overall the party gets hoppin'... after all, the queers DO love to tear it up on the dance floor. Cash only!

The Bella Luna Restaurant & Milky Way Lounge is now located at The Brewery, 284 Amory Street in Jamaica Plain. You'll find many of your old favorites on our spring/summer menu (we even brought our pizza ovens with us!) but be prepared to try something new.
Our wonderful space combines the industrial elements of the old brewery -- brick walls, high ceilings, steel columns, and large windows -- with a sci-fi inspired riot of color -- star lights, hand-painted plates, red walls and booths, sparkly blue cushions. The fun and games are still here, with Ms. Pac-Man/Galaga and MegaTouch at the bar for the photo hunt junkies.
Our u-shaped glittering quartz bar makes it easy to meet and mingle over one of our delicious signature cocktails, and after 10 the action is in our dramatic dance/function room with a view of the Haffenreffer smokestack.
Beer drinkers will love our American craft beer selection, including the SUN RAY ALE, brewed exclusively for us by Samuel Adams. The Sun Ray is a golden wheat ale brewed with oranges and coriander, it makes the perfect summer pint.

Blanchards is a large liquor store, with a parking lot out back. There are tastings each weekend and they carry a big selection of wine, beer and liquor. There's also a nice snack section up front, so you can get cheese and crackers here to go with your Chardonnay or a bag of pretzels to go with that case of Sam Adams.

Every neighborhood in Boston needs a local package store and here is the one in Hyde Square. Good supply of beer, wine and other alcohols and very handy location.

"Spa" is the old fashioned New England word for the corner store. This is not a place to come for a facial.
Until the 21st century this little convenience store was known as "Bob's Spa" and then Bob sold it to Mr. Fernandez (who changed the name but it continues to provide everyday needs for the neighborhood. It's also a place to buy alcohol besides the normal items you find in a convenience store.

Lenox-Martell Inc is a restaurant equipment distributor. They offer sales, leasing and rentals of food preparation equipment. They are also distributors of fine provisions, groceries, and beverages.
Focusing on selling wine and micro-brewed beers, this liquor store has been changed greatly in the renovations (completed at the very end of 2007). A more up-scale look and feel has come to what used to be a pretty scary establishment.
