Forest Hills Educational Trust was founded to preserve, interpret, enhance, and celebrate historic Forest Hills Cemetery, a place of burial and remembrance which is also one of Boston's most magnificent green spaces and resonant historic sites. The Trust has developed diverse programs which promote and enrich public use of this community resource. Events include summer walking tours, the annual Lantern festival in July, Day of the Dead services in October and concerts throughout the year.

The Hyde Square Task Force works to enhance the community. Since its founding, the Hyde Square Task Force has developed programs for youth and families that not only help them advance at school or in their careers, but also help create positive relations and opportunities to take pride and action in the community. The programs of the HSTF are developed by residents in response to community needs.
Currently occupying a store front the Hyde Square Task Force is due to move into new office space in the Blessed Sacrament Development occurring a block away.

JP APAC is part of the neighborhood network of Action for Boston Commmunity Development (ABCD).
JP Area Planning Action Council offers services to address the disparity in JP between those lacking resources and those who don't in Jamaica Plain. Their services include: HeadStart, job readiness training, ESOL classes and First Time Homebuyers workshops.
