Housed within the Martha Eliot Health Center, the JP Asthma/Environmental Initiative is working to eliminate environmental triggers of asthma in the home and schools. The initiative serves elementary aged students and their families within Jamaica Plain. Services that they provide are: home visits, classroom education and assistance to schools in addressing environmental concerns.
An affordable housing community for elders created by the JP Neighborhood Development Council and the Bromley Heath Tenant Management Corporation. It is managed by Peabody Properties. 55 one bedroom are available to income eligible seniors age 62 and up.
Martha Eliot is Children's Hospital's community health center in Jamaica Plain. For over 30 years, they have been serving the residents of JP with comprehensive health services. Martha Eliot works with everyone from the very youngest to the most senior through an array of services:
Adolescent Services Program (ASP)
Adult Services
Boston Healthy Start Initiative (newborn home visiting)
