This antique shop is stuffed full of lovely things. They also have flowers, which are lovely too. Once you carefully (it's really, really stuffed full) make your way around the first floor, head down the stairs into the basement to view even more stuff. The lovely shopkeeper with his Irish accent is friendly and helpful. Knowledgeable about the antiques and bric a brac he sells and great at putting together a lovely bouquet as well.

Formerly Gumshoe, 40 South Street has brought this older vintage shop a new coat of paint, better hours of operation, and more choices in clothing. Channeling a former era - about mid 20th century or so - you can find all sorts of clothing and accessories to compliment your inner Dean Martin, Doris Day or whichever 50s icon works for you.

Harvest is a cooperative market - so you can become a member and get back some of the money you spend. But you have to pitch in a couple times a year, stocking or providing other services. But you don't have to be a member to shop here. Emphasis tends to be on organic, eco-friendly items - this isn't Stop n Shop after all. There is a great bulk food section as well as a wine shop (go back to the left and up the stairs) which also where the cheese case is!

A little store stack to the top with racks of shoes, shoes, shoes. The front window full of even more shoes is a lure to all the "Imelda Marcos wannabes" walking by. George's periodic sales are worth a visit - great deals!

Fire Opal relocated into this larger space on Centre Street and now offers even more amazing handcrafted items. There is jewelry, pottery, clothing, art, and so much more. It's a place where you can just wander around and look for hours and be awed by the creativity in the world. It's a great spot to pick up the perfect present for someone who loves beauty.
