The First Baptist Church remains a vibrant congregation of Jamaica Plain despite the fire in January of 2005 that destroyed their historic building. They are currently (late 2007) raises funds to rebuild and meeting in a temporary structure on the front lawn. The church believes that they are Many Cultures, One Faith.

Services are held Sundays at 10:00am.
