Egleston Square
Egleston Square sits on the border with Roxbury and is an area of Jamaica Plain that is less well known. It developed along with the transit lines. The elevated train used to run right down Washington Street out from Boston to Egleston Square - until it was extended on out to Forest Hills. Egleston is where Washington Street and Columbus Avenue meet. This area has seen some new development in recent years but still maintains a distinct working class feel.
Thank you for your contribution. You've taken a huge step to making Povo the "word on the street,"
and we appreciate it very much. Because of the complexity of the "wiki text" and code that can be used
on Povo, in order to edit this section in the future you must click the "edit" button to the right of the section
heading (or for the whole page).
