This neighborhood in Jamaica Plain sits above the Jamaica Pond (towards Brookline). Largely developed in the late 19th century and into the 20th century there are a few older houses that encompassed an estate at the top of the hill from earlier times.
This hill is also known as Hellenic Hill for Hellenic College which sits at the top of the neighborhood now.
